Diving into plant histology and its organic beauty

As long as I can remember, Biology is a huge inspiration to me. During my past studies, I discovered organic worlds that most people aren't aware of. Plant histology is one of them. For my diploma project, I'd like to bring this amazing microscopic world into our daily life through textiles.
All the scientific pictures of plant histology offer stunning contrasts of bright colours. Playing with colours is one of my favorite part during the process of textile creation.
Tissues and cells draw specific pattern and those structures are a source of inspiration for pattern design, for screen-printing, crochet and obviously embroidery.
This textile study is also about thickness of the material, its transparency and the importance of light.
